A true performance clutch slave cylinder for the 690/701/700. The internal piston design and seal have been drastically enhanced to prevent leaks and leave a smoother clutch action. CNC machined from T6 billet alloy for lightness, strength and eye-catching looks.

The Oberon seals are made to work with both mineral oil and brake fluid clutch systems. You must use whichever product your bike manual calls for as those system are not compatible with either/or.

Fitment:

  • Husqvarna 701 Enduro & Supermoto (all years)
  • KTM 690 Enduro & Supermoto (all years)
  • GasGas 700 (all years)
  • Husqvarna FE501 '16-'21

Oberon piston seals are manufactured from special Viton rubber which is frozen and then CNC machined with a 'U' profile which is specifically for hydraulic use, in addition the piston itself is guided by our unique piston guide to prevent wear and maintain correct alignment within the slave unit, and this ultimately gives a smoother lever action and prolongs product life.

My slave cylinder arrived quickly with no drama. I've bought several items from Vanasche in the past, and I've been a satisfied customer. Great service!

Oberon Clutch Slave Cylinder

I had to remove my 16T front sprocket as it seemed easier than to try to force it in. This was my own fault though, as i had installed the hydraulic line to the slave cylinder before it was necessary. I also spilled more brake fluid than I needed to because i opened the reservoir before I needed to. I think if you follow these steps you should have an easier time than I did. 2017 Husqvarna 701.

Step 1: Clean bike thoroughly in the area of the slave cylinder. Loosen brake line to the slave cylinder
Step 2: Remove old slave cylinder and wipe clean the mounting surfaces of any debris
Step 3: Add motor oil to lubricate the o-rings and very gently install new slave cylinder. Remove the front sprocket if required. Add the new gasket to the slave cylinder before mounting.
Step 4: Tighten bolts to hand tight in a circular pattern, slowly increase to required torque spec,
Step 5: Install hydraulic lines and tighten, tighten the bleed nipple.
Step 6: Level and open the clutch master cylinder reservoir and pump the clutch until you remove all bubbles from the line, this took ~50-100 pumps though maybe less. Top off any fluid (DOT4) as required to prevent the reservoir from draining too low.
Step 7: Ensure the unit is not leaking at the connections or bleed nipple. Tighten further if needed.
Step 8: Reinstall reservoir cover. Wash down w/ soap and water the area where any DOT4 fluid may have spilled.
